let it snow...again.

Seattle Area Snowfall

The weather forecasted rain on the way to Western Washington with increased warming but there still were plenty of snowflakes over Mountlake Terrace the day after Christmas as you'll see in the video below. Other areas around Seattle did experience some rain and rain/snow mixtures to set the predicted meltdown in motion.

'08-'09 High School Basketball Season Underway

High School Basketball Season '08-'09 is underway.
Tuesday I attended a game at Seattle Prep and can report the fans were out in full force for the Season Opener again this year.

Bleachers on both sides of the gym resonated with team spirit as you’ll hear in the clip below shot from my vantage point just above O'Dea's bench as the Varsity Starting Line-Ups were announced. Final: Seattle Prep 52 - O'Dea 47

News You Can Use?

Here's a recently published article(Fortune) describing how lowering interest rates may continue. It explains how the positive effect on mortgage rates could spark market activity and with a potential benefit to buyers and homeowners this might be good news indeed.

If this news post helps us gain better understanding and insight into an issue that has a direct effect on our industry, it’s not only good news but news we can use. Trying to keep up with the ever changing scenery is one way to help our clients make informed choices.

Good News Is Worth Sharing!

It was "The Big Moo"

Sandy Shores , Leslie Stewart , and
Craig Rutman tagged me for this MeMe.
They're all active bloggers on Active Rain and it's
incredible being able to network with them
and enjoy their posts.

Here is the way it works:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next two to five sentences.
5. Don't dig for your favorite, cool or intellectual nook.
Pick the Closest.
6. Tag five people to do the same
*The one book that this can not be is the Bible*

The book that was closest to me was "The Big MOO"
A collaborative work edited
by Seth Godin

Starting with the fifth sentence from the 56th page:

"There’s a simple fix. Get out. Seriously, Get out!
Get up from behind your desk and get out of your office.

A fabulous little book full of collaborative writings from some of the smartest business thinkers – put together in such a way that it’s a breeze to quickly read a section at a time, for a quick dose of inspiration and motivation - you can really use.

Now Tagging: more of my favorite bloggers
here on Active Rain:

Vickie McCartney - KY Real Estate Specialist
Brad Carroll - Your Real Estate Web Designer
Mike Mueller - Your Real Estate Technology Expert

Wight's lights...

the corner of it’s Lynnwood, WA location.

Wight’s Home and Garden is one of my favorite places to stop, shop and get inspired anytime of year but especially during the holiday season –with a floral department, nursery, gifts and pieces to spice the home or garden.

Their "Wonderland of Christmas” began November 1st this year with elaborate displays, collectibles, ornaments and decor - that have traditionally made a quick visit – translate to at least an hour for me. Creativity fills the place which is evident even before going inside, through the window and their lighted corner landscape.

here’s a quick peek in from outside – Wight’s

Wight’s online for events directions and details.
