Bloggers posting for a cause - Earth Day, April 22, 2009 - you in?

Sharing a bloggers "Call to Action" as “Earth Day” 2009 fast approaches. One way to help raise awareness and focus toward environmental issues is to blog about them.



Is there any place better to get the word out to active bloggers knowledgeable about issues related to living green than ActiveRain? Efficient building design, landscape, energy audits and other green-home topics are just a few possible post ideas.

Teresa--Thanks for the reminder of Earth Day.  I will watch the video after my comment.  If my memory is correct it started back in early 70's.  I was teaching science to 7th & 8th graders.  We collected newspapers & turned them into cash for various science projects.  I no longer teach 7th & 8th graders but I have continued to follow my personal recycling resolutions.  Mary

Teresa--Yes, I was right--1970 first Earth Day that lead to formation of EPA.  I am happy that I visited your blog here.  Mary

Mary wasn't it a well presented video?....loaded with interesting content in a "short" - glad it brought back some memories: teaching 7th & 8th graders must have been fun! A little different than teaching real estate, I'm guessing:) This Earth Day video caught my attention partly because my sister-in-law works for the EPA. Remember her going to work back in the 80's wearing wading boots to test water quality. Today she's in managment/ working with grants - heard about many interesting projects using windmills etc through the EPA. WOW time flies! thanks for sharing your memories:)
