Seafair Pirates Have Landed!

ar

The Seafair Pirates have landed Seattle July 5th
on West Seattle's Alki Beach in traditional fashion to help kick off a month full of Seafair events and celebrations.

family piratesGrowing up in the Seattle area, Seafair is summer and it's been part of Northwest lifestyle for over 1/2 century. Each year between July and August, communities pack the summer calendar with loads of activities and entertainment extending far beyond the city limits.

Seafair mainstays in my earliest memory are the Lake City Grand Parade, the Torchlight Parade, Greenlakes’ Milk carton Derby, Seafair Royalty, Seafair Pirates, The US Navy Blue Angels Air Show and the Hydroplane Races on Lake Washington (in no particular order of occurrence or preference)

If the Puget Sound is on your itinerary this summer– you may be in for a treat!

The Official Seafair website and some community site links below highlight various upcoming attractions in this years’ Seafair lineup – many with FREE admission.

Teresa, this looks like oodles of fun.  I love your photo of the family.  I would suggest, if you haven't seen the Blue Angels to do so, it is a thrill of a lifetime!

Leslie I agree the Blue Angels are awesome - and when they're in town it's nearly impossible to miss 'em  -  caught some of the show one year while driving on 405 which was a nice way to offset the traffic I was in :)
