In Miami we have something similar called Miami Spice coming up in a few months where restaurants offer huge discounts for pre-selected menus for the entire month.
Teresa, this is on my list of to-do's someday. It looks like a blast, what a great place to try new foods and people watch!
Michael then that would be a wonderful time to visit Miami :) - I actually was in Miami way back in the mid '90's and unfortunately it was just a brief stop over so I didn't get to take in much of the city (next time I hope to) ....I love when communities and business people work together to create events like this!
Leslie when the time comes that you decide to make that happen - let me know so we can meet up! Back in the '80's they held the Bite @ Greenlake and it was a great event even back then. The Seattle Center has a capacity for more people so it's more comfortable with this event that seems to keep growing year after year. A great way to try items that you otherwise might not venture to order if visiting one of the Vendor restaurants.
I have a friend that used to live in Seattle. I will have to make a trek out west. I love to eat.
Robert if you miss the Bite of Seattle this year, I'm sure your friend will back me up that there is no shortage of great places to dine out west - while summer does offer more abundant outdoor street merchant type situations with so many festivals and attractions ....there are wonderful restaurants many with scenic waterfront views in Seattle, Edmonds, Kirkland, Bellevue, Everett, Redondo...the list goes on and on that are enjoyable anytime of year - everything including distinguished chefs, ethnic fare, neighborhood diners and (of course) an array of local and national chains to round off the mix; so Robert, when you do have an opportunity to head west....I don't think you'll be disappointed. :)
