High School Youth & Adult Volunteers from Seattle's
St Therese Parish are wrapping up this week in Eastern Washington. Each year fundraisers help send students/volunteers age 15 + to Habitat for Humanity work-camp in the Yakima Valley.

My brother and his wife; Jim & Lucita Valiere, their family, friends, and the St Therese community have helped organize fundraising events, work crew-construction volunteers and chaperones to participate each summer in a week-long workcamp in Yakima for the last 12 years. Jim's also contributed to the Habitat for Humanity building projects for the past 20 years and 2008 is no exception. This year their group included two recruits all the way from California.

Volunteers come from as far as Missouri to Yakima’s Habitat work-camps where they’re assigned assorted tasks working with builders and other volunteers to help construct new homes in partnership with families in need.
