Burlington was host to the Washington ALB Junior "A" Division District Baseball Tournament last week-end in a double elimination event. Burlington and Lake Stevens emerged as the top two teams, each earning a spot to compete at the state level scheduled to begin this week-end in Spokane WA.
The corn was popping in the concession stand and the balls were flying on the field last Saturday, when Lake Stevens hit their way home to a 10 run gap win as one games final score reveals below. There's something about a day at the ballpark with family, friends and fellow fans.

Teresa, we love ball games! My youngest daughter is in Seattle now at the Western Regional Softball Tournament! Take Care!
Hi Teresa! We were in Burlington today.....had to attend an inspection in Concrete! We too are gearing up for football, my 9yr olds first year and I'm not so sure I'm ready!! I absolutely love when my boys play baseball. It so fun to watch them improve each year.
Teresa, Did you have anyone playing in the tournement. I plan on checking out http://animoto.com/ after watching your video.
Hello Teresa~ We love ball games. My boys used to play in all kinds of tournaments, but that was years ago!
Leslie - Of all the times to be gone - while your people are coming my way, dang! We ended up being gone almost 6 days.... I still feel like I'm playing catch up which is why it has taken so long for me to respond.
How did your daughter do in the Regionals?
My niece played in High School and on a few select teams - so I know how exciting it is when they're competing!
Jacqueline - That does seem early for football but then September is just around the corner. (eek) You're right football is more of a contact sport but so fun to watch. My nephews have kept so busy with baseball teams year around that they barely manage to play some basketball for their schools. We all like to watch football though and I think (hands down) any sport is so much more fun to watch when you know someone in the game-I really love seeing the little tykes too! Do keep me posted on how your grandsons do this year....bring your camera to a game and share with us. :)
Sandy -It's been so long since I've gotten in to check my AR blog I feel terrible I didn't get back to you sooner. Ironically while you were near Burlington for the inspection in Concrete - the Burlington ALB Junior A Baseball Team was headed to Spokane for the State Tournament - that's where I ended up spending nearly a week. My nephew plays for Lake Stevens who was on the other side of the mountains as well - what a bunch of great players from all over the state! Very Fun! BTW I think Burlington is a nice little area and they have some great shopping!
I'm guessing your son will love football, to share: I just talked with a little guy about 10-11 who started playing football in the last year and he thinks it's great! I agree Sandy, love to see them learning and improving with every year in any of the sports. I'll drop by your blog and say hello.
Jimmy - Yes - I feel like the whole team is my people :) ....Seriously my brother-in-law a coach, my nephew a coach, and another nephew playing in the tournament...but I get so involved in cheering for them all and was able to shoot some video this time. In the process of putting a clip for each of the players on YouTube so they can see themselves in action. You might say I am an official fan of the whole team after seeing them compete with some terrific players. Thanks for stopping by!
Vickie - I know where you're coming from....I'm on round two -Now the little grand-nephew has been creeping onto the field - time flies! and they are all fun to watch grow up before our eyes.
